Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 1: 1-28

“And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.” (1 Samuel 1:2)

Our Focal Scripture introduces the wives of Elkanah- Hannah and Peninnah. Peninnah had children but Hannah had none. Peninnah brought forth results but Hannah was yet to bring forth any result. Peninnah was that part of Elkanah’s life that was fruitful, and she didn’t stop at having one child; she had sons and daughters. She was that fruitful part of Elkanah’s life that remained fruitful. She was a part that worked and kept working.

Friend, if there be a part of your life that is currently working well, work it more that it might produce more results. If there be a productive skill that you have, take it a notch higher and let it give you more results than it has ever given. If there be an idea that has made impact, scale it up that it might yield more impact. If there be a relationship that is currently profitable, take it to the next level and make it even more profitable.

Elkanah had a first child through Peninnah, and he went for more. He didn’t allow the first child he got through Peninnah to make him stop. Don’t close the chapter of results simply because you have got one result that matters to you; don’t make light of your profitable relationships just because you have got what you think you need from them; don’t become slack in your career, business, ministry, etc because you already have results.

Step up your game; take your desire for results to the next level. No matter the results you already have from your ‘Peninnah’, go for more; no matter the results you already have from your career, business, ministry, academics, finances, etc, go for more. Don’t rest on your results; don’t let the satisfaction from previous results rob you of a fresh desire and hunger for more results.

Don’t shut the doors of results too early. Press for more, push for more, thirst for more, ask for more, work for more, dream for more, pray for more, and you shall have more than you ever imagined.

I go for more; I shall have more, in Jesus’ name!
