Our Focal Scripture speaks of the two women that came before the king. These two women were both harlots. They had a negative identity by reason of their harlotry. They were involved in a negative lifestyle, and it soon became their identity. They lived in error until it became their identity. They lived in error until it swallowed their original identities. They lived in error until their errors gave them a negative name.
Friend, no matter how you are caught up in error, don’t let it swallow your real identity. Don’t allow your mistakes to become your new identity. Don’t allow sin to become your new identity. Don’t allow what you are not doing right to become your identity. Don’t allow the wrong choices you have made to become your identity. Don’t allow the enemy to brand you according to what you are doing wrong. Don’t let negativity be your identity.
These two persons who came before the king, were women. They were not mere young girls. They had grown, but as they grew, negativity was growing with them and in them. As you grow and rise higher, don’t let your bad habits rise with you. Don’t allow negativity to follow you into your new season. Don’t let the mistakes of your yesterday follow you into your tomorrow. Don’t allow yourself to wear sin as a garment.
Today, I pray for you: every negative identity you have acquired as a result of a life in error, let the blood of Jesus speak mercy. Let the blood of Jesus redeem you from every negative identity you have gained as a result of your mistakes. Let the blood of Jesus redeem you from the curse of your past mistakes. Let the blood of Jesus redeem you from the traps of the enemy you have entered into. Let the blood of Jesus redeem your identity.
You were not created to wear a garment of negativity and sin. You were not wired for negative identity. You were made to be an ambassador of the kingdom of heaven.
