The sons of the prophets who dwelt with Elisha told him to allow them to go to Jordan and get wood to build a new, bigger place. They were prophets in training, but where they lived with Elisha was too small for them to be comfortable in. Being sons of the prophets, they were being tutored in the fundamentals of the prophetic ministry, they were working for God, they were spiritually sound, yet they were physically constrained.
Friend, are you at that place where you are spiritually sound but physically constrained? Are you at that point where you are truly serving God, but stuck in a small place that you have clearly outgrown? Are you at that point in your destiny where the size of what the Lord is doing in you is way beyond the size of where you are? Are you at that point where you are encountering God, getting deeper in your walk with Him, yet stuck?
Today, I decree, you are leaving your small places. You are stepping out of confinement. Every physical limitation around you is broken; every line the enemy says you will not cross over, you are crossing over it now; every boundary that has been set for your progress, you are crossing over it now; you are breaking out of your small places, small finances, small opportunities, small resources, small impact, small environments, etc.
God was depositing greatness in those sons of the prophets, and it was only a matter of time before their environment needed to align with the changes that had taken place in their inner man. As God continues to feed your inner man, it is only a matter of time before your small places remind you of the need to move higher. As God grows you, you will grow out of your small places.
Keep your eyes on God; keep growing in His word and in your inner man, and you will grow out of your small places.
