Our Focal Scripture paints a picture of a lame man at the beautiful gate. He was in a place that had a beautiful name, but his situation was bad. He was in a place that sounded positive, but his reality was negative. He was in a place that sounded desirable, but his situation was undesirable. The lame man was in a location that sounded good, yet his story remained a sad one. The lame man found himself in a place that contradicted his state.
Friend, I pray for you: may you not be found in a good place, yet your situation will be bad. May you not be in a positive place, yet your reality will be negative. May you not be found in a place where people are advancing, yet you are stuck to the same place. May you not be sought after for looking desirable from a distance, only to remain in undesirable circumstances. May you not be surrounded by plenty, and yet live in lack.
That lame man in our Focal Scripture was in a place that looked good, it would appear that good things were in his environment, but the name of the place sounded better than his true situation. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be caught in negativity in the midst of the good. You will not be stagnated in the same place where people are moving. You will not be reduced in the same place where others are walking in increase.
In this season, you will not only bear a new name, but you will be a true reflection of the new name you bear. No longer will you be called the favoured of the Lord, and yet you are not favoured by men. No longer will you be called a child of the King of Kings, and yet your life will be bereft of the goodness and mercy of God. No longer shall your life contradict the very faith and belief you have in God. No longer shall your gates be closed.
The season of contradictions in your life, is over. The season of bearing a good name with a bad situation, is over.
