Scripture Reading: ACTS 12: 1-23

Focus

“And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.” (Acts 12: 2)

When Herod arose against the church, his first strike was against James, whom he slew with the sword. Herod took James and killed him. Herod launched an attack of death against James. What seemed like mere oppression against the church soon became an attack of death against James. When the church was counting their losses from the hands of Herod, one of their major losses was James who had just been killed.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: this year, you will not die. You will not be killed. You will not be swallowed by any accident or wickedness. You will not bury and you will not be buried. Obituary will not be mentioned in your family. Mourning shall be far from you. You will not shed tears because of death. Your life will not be consumed by any tragedy. No arrow of the enemy fired against you for death will succeed against you.

Notice that even Herod did not necessarily have an issue with James; he only had an issue with the church; Herod had an issue with an entire group, but he proceeded to kill one man as though there was anything personal. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every attack targeted against you that wants to reduce your life and take you to the grave earlier than normal, I command that attack to end by fire. You won’t die another man’s death.

Today, the Lord rescues you from every attack of death. The Lord rescues you from every ailment that wants to orchestrate your death. The Lord rescues you from every wickedness that wants to cut short your life. The Lord rescues you from every trap of the enemy that wants to take you down to the grave. The Lord rescues you from every wicked and satanic conspiracy to steal your life. The Lord rescues you from the jaws of death.

You will not die, and nothing dies around you. You will not bury and you will not be buried.

Declaration

I will not die; I will not bury; I will not be buried, in Jesus’ name!
