Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 4: 1-7

Focus

“Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.” (2 Kings 4: 1)

It is instructive to observe that the creditor who came for the two sons of the woman in our Focal Scripture, did not show up until their father died. The death of that son of the prophets emboldened the creditor to come and enforce bondage on the lives of his two sons. The death of that son of the prophets led to bondage. His death opened the gates of destiny reduction. He died, and bondage began.

Friend, don’t accept to die. Don’t allow your walk with God to die. Don’t allow your commitment to God to die; don’t allow your zeal for God to die; don’t allow your visions to die; don’t allow the divine capacity you have in you to die; don’t allow your competence to die; don’t allow that career that God has given you, to die; don’t allow your business, ministry, academics, etc to die. Make a commitment that nothing in you will die.

The problem with the death of that son of the prophets was that creditors who did not come when he was alive could come when he was dead and buried. His death became their opportunity. Hear me: whatever you allow to die in you is an opportunity for the enemy to make a mess of your future generation. If the life in your spirit man wanes, you are simply making it easier for destruction to happen in your dwelling.

Today, I speak over your life: in 2021, you shall not die. In 2021, nothing in you shall die; nothing in your hands shall die; nothing that is important to you will die; nothing that will preserve your future generation will die; nothing that will be of benefit to your future will die; nothing that should advance your destiny shall die; you will not bury and you will not be buried. Every siege of death around you, spiritually or physically, is broken.

Arise, shake off the dust of the grave, and take your place. Don’t accept that what the Lord has put in your hands shall die. Don’t make room for the enemy through the death of what is important in your life.

Declaration

I will not die; nothing in my hands shall die, in Jesus’ name!
