Scripture Reading: John 11: 1-44

Focus

“And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.” (John 11: 44)

When Lazarus came forth from the grave, he was bound hand and feet, wearing grave clothes. Jesus had called him forth from the grave, but he still wore the garments of the grave; he still wore the garments of where he was coming from; he still wore the garment of his past level even when his status had changed. Lazarus was still dressed like where he was coming from; and Jesus ordered that the clothes be changed.

Friend, every identity that represents where you used to be is cancelled. Every old level identity is deleted by the blood of Jesus; every old season appearance in your life is removed by the orders of God’s word concerning you; everything that makes you look like what you went through in the past is removed from your destiny now; every remnant of your negative past is removed; the newness of Christ rests on you.

Lazarus was already out of the grave, but he still looked like the grave he had just come out from. His position changed but his outlook didn’t change. Every plan of the enemy to neutralize your new season with old season appearances is annulled by the power of God. Every satanic plan to make you look like what God already recovered you from will not work; every plan of the enemy to mix your new season with your old season is cancelled.

When Jehovah is involved, every old season your leave is left for good. When Jehovah is involved, there is so much newness to radiate, and there is no space to advertise what the enemy brought that has been discarded. When you walk with the Lord, you can’t be in your future dressed in the garments of your past; when God is for you, every season you leave is gone for good.

Your path is only permitted to shine brighter and brighter. You are not what happened to you; you are God’s workmanship.

Declaration

The past is gone; the new season beckons; I don’t look like my past because of grace, in Jesus’ name!
