No More Confinement

17th March 2019

Scripture Reading: John 11: 1-44

Focus

“And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.” (John 11: 44)

When Lazarus stepped out of the grave, he was bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was covered with a napkin. Lazarus was tied to the point that his hands could not access whatever anyone wanted to give him; he was tied in such a way that opportunities could come and he would not even see them; he was tied in such a way that even if he knew where to go, he could not move because his feet were bound.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: that confinement is broken. Every confinement that is stopping you from accessing your divine release is broken; every confinement that is stopping you from seeing what the Lord has done for you is broken; every confinement that won’t let you take up opportunities is broken; every confinement that is against your forward movement and progress is broken; every satanic confinement is broken.

Lazarus was out of the grave, yet he was confined. He had the semblance of freedom, yet bondage reigned supreme. Every arrangement of the enemy to keep you in bondage while you seem free is broken. Every plan to keep you confined in the midst of your freedom is broken. No longer shall your freedom be spiced with bondage; no longer shall your freedom be polluted and mixed with bondage.

Jesus did not call forth Lazarus from the grave so that he would remain tied and bound, with grave clothes and all. Jesus called him forth to send him back to his uncompleted assignment. You were not redeemed to remain in bondage; you were redeemed to stay free and walk free; you were redeemed to rise above every confinement that has ever kept you down; you were redeemed so that bondage will have no place in you.

Stand fast in the freedom that Jesus has brought you already; reject bondage; reject every confinement; reject every satanic restraint.

Declaration

I walk in freedom; no more confinement, in Jesus’ name!
