Scripture Reading: PSALMS 23: 1-6

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23: 1)

In our Focal Scripture, the psalmist presented a picture of the Lord as his Shepherd, implying that he is sheep under the Lord. By the very nature of the sheep, in bible times, it was an easy prey in the hands of predators. Notice that the same predators would hear the voice of the shepherd and be put to flight. Enemies hear the voice of the Shepherd and they run away. So when the Shepherd calls, the kingdom of darkness is put to flight.

Friend, when the Shepherd calls your name, He is putting the kingdom of darkness on notice that you belong to Him. When the Lord calls your name, the kingdom of darkness understands that He has put a tag on your life. The voice of the Lord in your life is a warning to predators to keep off. The voice of the Lord is your shield from negativity. As the Lord speaks over your life, He is making an announcement for predators to keep off.

The Shepherd sees the predators that are coming for you; He sees the conspiracies of those who want to reduce your destiny to rubbles; He sees the vicious attacks of those who do not want you to rise; He sees the traps and pits positioned by those who want you to go down already. As surely as the Lord lives, every predator that comes for your life will go down. Every attacker against your destiny will be consumed.

You may look vulnerable like the sheep, but there is a voice from heaven speaking over your life. There is a voice behind you. There is a voice that speaks for you and speaks against the predators. There is a voice that is the nemesis of your destiny battles. There is a voice that orchestrates your destiny advancement. There is a voice that makes your mountains to skip like rams. There is a voice that resonates with power and majesty.

Never make the mistake of losing touch with the voice of the Lord. In this season and beyond, more than anything else, crave for the voice of the Lord. Let the voice of the Lord speak loudly in your life.

The voice of the Lord has silenced my predators, in Jesus’ name!
