Label of negativity

No Negative Labels

10th December 2019

Scripture Reading: Ruth 1: 1-17

Focus

“And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.” (Ruth 1: 5)

It is instructive to observe the meanings of the names that Elimelech gave to his two sons. Mahlon means ‘sickly’; Chilion means ‘wasting away’. So Elimelech gave his sons negative names, and negativity soon followed them. They were given negative names, and their lives became an example of negativity. They got negative names, they were given negative labels, and negativity soon found expression in their lives.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every negative label on your destiny is deleted by the word of the Lord. Every tag of negativity on your family is blotted out forever; every identity on your family that is not of God is deleted by the hand of God; every label the enemy has put on your business in order to cripple it, is deleted now; every identity of stagnation and retrogression the enemy has placed on you, I tear it now.

Mahlon and Chilion were given negative labels, and negativity consumed them. They became examples of the negative labels they were given. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be an example of the negative label that has been placed on you. You will not be an expression of the negativity your city, environment, profession, etc is known for; you will not be an illustration of the negativity the enemy has intended for this generation.

If you have been redeemed by Jesus, your identity is Christ, and you bear in you the mark of Christ Jesus. If you have been redeemed, let every other identity that is not of Christ fade away. Let stagnation, retrogression, lack, sickness, limitation, destruction, devastation, etc fade away. Let every identity that is contrary to your God given identity fade away.

Don’t accept any identity that violates your identity in Christ. If it is not validated by God’s word, command it to fade away.

Declaration

Every negative label on my destiny, I delete you now, in Jesus’ name!
