In Numbers 13-14, Moses had sent out twelve spies to go and search out the land of Canaan. Two of the spies returned with good news, while the rest claimed that there were giants too big to conquer in the land. The greater majority of those who were sent by Moses, declared that the land was beyond their reach. A greater majority of those that Moses sent, came back with a negative report. They came with reports of negativity.
Notice that when Joshua sent two spies to Jericho, they both returned with good news, and in a matter of time, Jericho fell to Israel. Joshua sent out spies, and they both returned with positive news. The negative report that Moses received in his own time, did not repeat in the time of Joshua. The negative report that the previous generation experienced did not happen a second time in the next generation.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: no negativity will be seen; no negativity will be heard; no negativity will arise. The negativity that bedeviled your past generation will not find expression in your life. The negative reports that hindered your fathers will not hinder you. The negative reports that plagued their lives will not plague your own life. The negativity they battled with will not become your portion. Negativity will not happen again.
Joshua sent two men to spy on Jericho, and they both broke free from the negativity of the past generation. They were of that generation that would disrupt negativity and enthrone the will of the Lord. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you belong to that generation that will not allow the negativity sponsored by the enemy to hold sway. You will not be counted amongst them who simply suffered what their older generation suffered.
You belong to a better generation. Arise and disrupt every pattern of negativity you inherited from those ahead of you. As surely as the Lord lives, the negativity of your yesterday will not happen again.
