Scripture Reading: ZECHARIAH 4: 1-9

“So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?” (Zechariah 4: 4)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment in Zechariah’s vision when he sought to understand what he saw. That vision was about the completion of the temple. Notice that in Ezra 4 vs. 5 (MSG), the enemies that were working against the children of Israel “…bribed officials to work against them and frustrate their plans…”. They positioned government officials against people who had the mandate of the Lord to rebuild the temple.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every evil voice that is positioning the governments of the day against your God-given agenda, let the same angel that slapped Herod to death slap them. If there be anyone who is turning the hearts of kings against you, let them go down by fire. Let the haters that are using mighty men against you go down by fire. Let the hand of the Lord move against those that are bribing officials against you.

Ordinarily, the government officials had no issues with the children of Israel. They were not really against the rebuilding of the temple. They only got influenced by those who gave them money in order to subvert the will of the Lord and of the king. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the influence of your enemies will not work against God’s mandate on your life. The resources of your enemies will not turn the hearts of mighty men against you.

Today, I pray for you: when it matters and where it matters, may the voices of your enemies not be louder than yours. May the influence of your enemies not become your waterloo. May the access of your enemies not deny you access to your new season and next level. May the wickedness of your enemies be fruitless against you. May the officials of the governments of this world not become messengers of affliction against you.

If God be for you, He will steer the hearts of kings in your favour. Hear me as I hear the Lord: no one will use the corridors of power against you.

The governments and kings of this world will not be used against me, in Jesus’ name!
