NO REPEATED NEGATIVITY

2nd Oct 2023

Scripture Reading: GENESIS 26: 1-14

Focus

“And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.” (Genesis 26: 1)

It is instructive to observe that there had been a famine in the days of Abraham. Again, in the days of Isaac, there was yet another famine. The same negativity that came to Abraham also came to Isaac. The same struggle that Abraham faced also confronted Isaac. Isaac was caught in what seemed to be a generational pattern of negativity. He suffered what his father suffered. He suffered the same negativity that came for his father.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not inherit any negativity that your fathers faced in their own time. You will not suffer what your fathers suffered. You will not suffer the same afflictions they suffered; you will not suffer the ailments your fathers suffered; you will not lose the same battles they lost; you will not face the same troubles that came for them; you will not struggle in the same places where your fathers struggled.

Today, I pray for you: you will not inherit anything negative from your older generations. Whatever negativity they faced ends with them; you will not carry any negativity over to your own life and to your next generation. You will not fail where your fathers failed. You will not be rejected where they were rejected. You will not be hindered where they were hindered. You will not be stopped where they were stopped.

I pray for you: where your fathers suffered, you will have victory. Where they went down, you will go up. Where they lost battles, you will be a champion. Their health challenges will not be your portion. Their mistakes will not be your portion. Their negative experiences will not happen to you. Their afflictions will not happen to you. You will not be counted amongst them that advertised and suffered generational afflictions.

As surely as the Lord lives, affliction will not arise a second time. It may have happened to your fathers, but today, I drive a wedge between you and every past negativity. You will not suffer generational struggles.
