Ignore the wind

No Stagnation

30th June 2021

Scripture Reading: Mark 10: 46-52

Focus

“And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.” (Mark 10: 46)

Blind Bartimaeus sat by the highway side begging. The highway is typically a place of fast paced movements. It’s a place where people are simply on the move; but in that same place, Bartimaeus sat. Whilst men made progress on the highway, Bartimaeus remained in the same position. While men advanced to fulfill their mandates and mission, Bartimaeus remained and sat on the highway. In a place of movement, he was stagnated.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be stagnated. You will not be at the same spot as others move higher and higher in destiny. You will not be counted amongst them that will remain on the same level from year to year. You will not be counted amongst them that are yet to make progress even while others are making progress. You will not be an example of one who is stagnated. You will not be an example of no movement.

Bartimaeus found himself in a position where he simply observed those that were on the move. He was in a place where he noticed movement, but he was not a part of the movement. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be a spectator in destiny. You will not watch others move and you remain at the same spot. You will not witness movement and advancement and not be part of it. You will not be counted amongst spectators in life.

The cycle of stagnation is broken over your life. The cycle of being a spectator in destiny is broken over your life. You may have watched others move in time past, but in this new season, you will move as others move; you will be elevated as others are elevated; you will be congratulated as others are congratulated; you will be celebrated as others are celebrated; you will advance and progress as others advance and progress.

The days of stagnation are over. The days of being a spectator in destiny, are over. The days of sitting on the highway side while others move, are over.

Declaration

The power of stagnation is broken over my life; I will move as others move, in Jesus’ name!
