Scripture Reading: Mark 5: 1-20

Focus

“And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.” (Mark 5: 5)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the man with the unclean spirits would be in the mountains, cutting himself with stones. The unclean spirits allowed him to go to the mountains. Mountains are synonymous with visibility. Mountains represent higher levels. Mountains speak of the blessings of the Lord. Mountains speak of high positioning. So in the higher level of that man, he was crying. His place of visibility came with tears.

Friend, I pray for you: your place of visibility will not come with tears. Your higher level will not come with struggles that will make a mess of the elevation. Your new season will not show up with old struggles. Your blessings will not cause you pain. Your lifting will not be mixed with affliction. God will not cause you to rise to the mountains and still allow you to be afflicted by the enemy. Your crown will not be made of thorns.

Every power of darkness that wants to introduce thorns into your thrones and crowns, I command that power to be broken into pieces. Every messenger from the pit of hell that says that the doors of your elevation will be open to negativity and affliction, I curse that power. I curse every power of darkness that wants to pollute your mountain top experience. I curse every bondage of hell that wants to confine your greatness.

You will not be an example of one that has risen to the mountain but is still in tears and pains. You will not be an example of one who has made progress but is enmeshed in afflictions that won’t let you enjoy the progress that God brought your way. You will not be an example of one whose celebration is marred with affliction. No negativity will become a permanent feature in your mountain. I command affliction to depart now.

God’s blessings and elevation will only make you rich but will not add negativity to your destiny.

Declaration

My thrones and crowns will not come with thorns; my mountain will not bring me tears, in Jesus’ name!
