Not A Victim

29th December 2021

Scripture Reading: Matthew 2: 1-12

“Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.” (Matthew 2: 7)

Whilst there would have been celebration in the house of Joseph and Mary on account of Jesus’ birth, Herod was plotting and enquiring on how to cut short the destiny of Jesus. Herod was busy arranging for how the good news of Joseph and Mary could turn to bad news. He was making arrangements on how the congratulations could turn to sorrow. He was making arrangements to put out what God put into their hands.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every plot of the enemy to cut short your good news, I command it to scatter by fire. Every plot of the enemy to mix your good news with bad news, I command it to scatter by fire. Every plan of the enemy to make you a victim in the season of your congratulations, I command it to scatter by fire. Every plot of the enemy to reduce you in the season of your increase, I command it to end now.

If there be any man who is plotting to turn your celebration into mourning, today, I decree, they will not succeed. If there be people who are making secret moves to reduce or truncate your portion, I decree, they will not succeed. Any man who is making arrangements to steal or divert your good news, is wasting his time; they can only try but they will not succeed. Any human king who is using his throne against your destiny will not succeed.

If you have received Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross, then you have the keys of the kingdom, and whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. Bind every satanic man who is plotting to make you a mourner when you should be celebrating. Speak against every altar of darkness that wants men to gather and tell you sorry. Speak against every diversion of your good news. Topple every Herod against you.

The Herod you fail to halt in prayers, is the Herod that will turn your laughter into tears. Arise, and shut up the mouth of every Herod that is positioned against you.

I won’t be a victim of any ‘Herod’, in Jesus’ name!
