Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when the psalmist affirmed that a people whom he has not known will serve him. The word ‘serve’ as used in that scripture comes from the Hebrew word ‘abad’. One of the meanings of ‘abad’ is ‘to till the ground’. So people whom the psalmist had never known, were tilling his ground. Anyone looking at the psalmist would imagine that he was doing nothing, but things were working in his favour. He may have looked idle, but men were working for him.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you may appear to be doing nothing that should yield results, but your results will keep coming forth. You may appear not to have anyone positioned to seek favours from, but favours will chase after you again and again. You may appear not to have anyone that can speak for you, but men will arise and speak for you whenever and wherever you need them. You may not labour much, but your results will keep coming to the amazement of your haters.
Men may not see you laboring much, but they will see your results coming forth. Men may imagine that you are stranded, but your results will silence them. Men may think you are disadvantaged, but your advantage will show forth without efforts. Men may imagine that your doors are closed, but right before their very eyes, they will see evidence that your doors and gates are open. Men may have written you off, but your results will speak.
This is not that year where all your results must come by labour. This is not that year where you will labour for everything that God is bringing your way. Some may indeed come by labour, but for many, God will put some men on their toes and they will not rest until you gain results that are not by your labour. This year, you will receive results beyond your calculations. You will get more than you bargained for.
Welcome to your new season of results beyond your personal efforts. Welcome to that season where others will make the moves while you reap the results.
