REPEATED NEGATIVITY

9th March 2024

Scripture Reading: LUKE 7: 11-17

Focus

“Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.” (Luke 7: 12)

The tragic part of the narrative in our Focal Scripture, is that the woman whose son was about to be buried, had also previously lost her husband. She suffered the loss of her husband, and in a matter of time, it became the turn of her son. She suffered loss before, and in a matter of time, another loss came her way. Death came to her again and again. Tragedy came to her again and again. Negativity simply paid her a second visit.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not suffer repeated affliction. You will not suffer repeated negativity. You will not suffer repeated obituary. You will not suffer repeated tragedies. Whatever that went wrong in time past will not go wrong again. Whatever that did not turn out well in time past will not happen again. Whatever you remember and it brings you to tears, will not happen again. You will not cry again and again.

People had gathered to mourn with this widow when she lost her husband; and a situation arose again that would make people come to mourn with her. People continued to gather to say sorry to her. Hear me as I hear the Lord: people will not gather to tell you sorry. You will not be counted amongst them that suffered negativity again and again. You will not face the same struggles again and again. Evil cycles will not repeat again.

Today, I pray for you: every negative cycle is replaced with a positive cycle. You will hear good news again and again. You will celebrate and be celebrated again and again. You will rise again and again. You will advance and break forth on all sides again and again. You will receive divine help again and again. You will testify again and again. You will make significant progress again and again. You will have reasons to rejoice repeatedly.

The doors of repeated negativity are closed forever. You will not cry again and again.

Declaration

No negativity will become a cycle in my life, in Jesus’ name!
