Scripture Reading: ZECHARIAH 4: 1-9

“And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:” (Zechariah 4: 2)

In our Focal Scripture, Zechariah saw lights in the temple. These lights needed oil to remain shining. Periodically, the priests had to pour oil into the lamps so that the light will not go off. The priests needed to replace the oil available to the lamps, so that the light can keep shining. No lamp was going to remain perpetually shining except that oil was available to keep it in the shining mode. No light was to remain except it had oil.

Friend, if your light must keep shining, then make it a priority to have fresh oil within you. If the light that God has lit in you will remain shining, then prioritize constant replenishment of your oil. Position yourself for fresh oil to be poured into your inner man in the place of fellowship with God and His Spirit. Position yourself for fresh wisdom to be poured into you by God Himself if you will remain relevant. Prioritize replenishment of your oil.

Even the fastest vehicle will stop moving if it runs out of fuel. Even the best lights in the world will cease to shine the very moment they are no longer connected to a power source. God did not wire you to shine without Him in the picture. You were wired to shine as you remain connected to God. The candles in the temple were wired to keep shining as they keep receiving oil. In all your getting, get more and more of the oil of God.

In this season, seek that God will pour more oil into you. Seek that God will release fresh wisdom into you. Ask God to give you fresh knowledge and understanding into the realms that you have never been in. Ask God to open up your spirit man to receive more and more of heaven’s oil that enables a man to keep shining brighter and brighter. Ask God to keep you forever yearning for more and more of His oil.

Remember, if you run out of oil, you will simply run out of light. Don’t be counted amongst them that are positioned in the temple, but without the oil that should make them shine. If you are low on oil, ask for a refill.

I am positioned to receive more and more oil from God, in Jesus’ name!

Memory Verse

“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.” (Romans 12: 2 TPT)
