Run With The Word

22nd August 2019

Scripture Reading: Joshua 6: 1-20

Focus

“And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.” (Joshua 6: 4)

In our Focal Scripture, God reeled out the process by which the children of Israel would possess Jericho. God spoke about the priests that would go before the Ark with seven trumpets of rams’ horns. He had also spoken, in the previous verse, of the men of war. Notice that this journey began because of the word of the Lord. So the first element in the process was the fact that God spoke. The word of the Lord piloted the takeover of Jericho.

Friend, as you plot to takeover your ‘Jericho’, run with the word of the Lord. Let God’s word go ahead of you; let the spoken and written word of God pilot the affairs of your greatness and advancement; let the word of the Lord be your anchor as you push to the top; let the word that God has spoken to you be in front of you, no matter the obstacles and opposition you see; let the word of the Lord be your driving force as you advance.

When God speaks, He does not make empty promises; when God speaks, He doesn’t speak as men do. Every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord is destined for fulfillment; it may take time, but it will surely come to pass. If you run with God’s word as you advance towards your goals and targets, be sure that the word will transport you to the place of fulfillment. The word of the Lord shall orchestrate your reality if you run with it.

Before you put in your efforts, the word of the Lord will bring your desires to you. Before you do all you need to do, the word of the Lord will do more than you could have done for yourself. The word of the Lord will create the future before you step into it. The word of the Lord will go ahead of you to open the doors that may have been shut at you. God’s word is your guarantee.

Even if you forget the word of God, God’s word will not forget you. The word that has been written and spoken concerning you will come to pass.

Declaration

The word of the Lord goes ahead of me; the word prevails in my life, in Jesus’ name!
