In our Focal Scripture, God told Ezekiel to prophesy upon the dry bones. These dry bones were to hear the word of the Lord and come back together, and back to life. To prophesy is to speak the mind of God. So Ezekiel was to speak the mind of God to the dry bones. Ezekiel was meant to speak, not what he felt, but what God had in mind. Ezekiel was meant to speak of God’s intention for the dry bones, so that they could live again.
Friend, speak the mind of God to your dry bones. Speak the word of the Lord to your dry bones. Speak the same words of Him that raised Jesus from the dead, to your dry bones. Speak the power of God to your dry bones. Speak life to your dead places. Speak resurrection to the graves that life has thrown at you. Speak results to that dead end. Speak the mind of God to every unfavourable situation. Speak the word of the Lord.
Stop speaking the ideas of men into your dry bones. Stop rehearsing your analysis before your dry bones. Stop speaking the same words you hear in the news to your dry bones. Stop speaking the adversity of the day to your dry bones. Stop speaking what is against the mind of God to your dry bones. Stop speaking the plans of the enemy to your dry bones. Stop speaking misfortune to your dry bones.
Notice that it was God that told Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones. So God knew that the dry bones had ears and could hear the word of the Lord. No matter how dry your dry bones are, they have ears to hear the word of the Lord. Your dry bones can hear you if you speak life to them. Your terrible situations can hear you if you speak the mind of God to them. Your challenges can hear you if you speak the word of the Lord.
Ezekiel spoke the word of the Lord, he spoke the mind of God, and the dry bones came back to life. He spoke the mind of God, and life returned. Speak the mind of God, and life will return to your dead places.
