Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Jesus came to the Mount of Olives, whilst on His journey to Jerusalem. Zechariah 9 vs. 9 had revealed that Jesus would ride into Jerusalem on a colt. Jerusalem was the destination, but Jesus first stood at the Mount of Olives. It was on Mount Olives that Jesus was taken from His disciples, and Angels descended (see Acts 1 vs. 9-12). The Mount of Olives was the Mount of the supernatural. Jesus stood on the Mount of the supernatural before He stepped into His prophecy.
Friend, if you want to step into the ‘Jerusalems’ of this world, dwell in the place of the supernatural. Heighten your spiritual content. Deepen your communion with God. Crave for divine encounters. Go beyond counting the miles you have walked in the eyes of men and seek to go the extra mile with God. Crave for more depth in God. Crave for more access into God. Crave for more manifestation of God in and through you. Dare to stand in a high place with God.
Your supernatural encounter is important for your Jerusalem destination. Your place in the supernatural is a major ingredient for your advancement into the high places of this world. Your depth in God is a major currency you need in order to trade with some impact and longevity on earth. Your relevance to God, and your ability to step easily into the will of God, requires that you first stand in a high place with God.
If all the heights you have ever stepped into in life are in the sight of men but never in God, then you are yet to step into a high place. If you walk into high places amongst men without first heightening your place in God, you may not last long in the high places you stepped into. If your human achievements are not backed up with spiritual energy, you may not last long on the mountain of relevance and influence.
Don’t be counted among men who step into their ‘Jerusalem’ without first being on a ‘Mount of Olives’. Don’t be content to move forward without moving deeper into God.
