Scripture Reading: Luke 8: 22-25

Focus

“Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.” (Luke 8: 22)

Our Focal Scripture begins with the word ‘now’. The unveiling of what Jesus was about to make happen began with the matter of ‘now’; the foundation of what Jesus was about to accomplish began from the place called ‘now’. It was not a matter of ‘later’; it was a matter of ‘now’. Jesus had accomplished great works in the past, but when He came to that point in time called ‘now’, He stepped up yet again to make new things happen.

Friend, if you seek greatness, then pay attention to what you are doing with your ‘now’. A great man does not joke with his now; a man of impact does not waste his ‘now’. Any man who jokes with his ‘now’ will end up with a destiny that will be a huge joke. Any man who does not utilize his ‘now’ will end up with a tomorrow that is no different from his yesterday; any man who does not invest in his ‘now’ will end up empty handed tomorrow.

The difference between where you are and where God is taking you to, lies in what you are doing with your ‘now’. Do what you have to do now; stop putting off what you can do now; don’t postpone destiny defining actions you ought to take now; stop procrastinating what can be accomplished now; stop putting off that impact you can make now; stop putting off the changes you need to effect now; use your ‘now’ moments judiciously.

Now is the time to make new things happen; now is the currency with which you will procure the future. The expert you want to become starts now; the powerful man you want to become starts now; the devoted Christian you want to become starts now; the prayer warrior you want to become starts now; the future of your dreams starts now; your next achievement starts now; your next level attainment starts now.

If you keep wasting your ‘now’, you will most certainly miss out on divine destiny. What are you doing ‘now’? Use your ‘now’ wisely.

Declaration
