Scripture Reading: Mark 3: 1-5

Focus

“And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.” (Mark 3: 1)

It is instructive to observe that the story of the man with the withered hand changed in the synagogue when Jesus showed up. That man came to the place of worship with his challenge, and Jesus showed up and took it away. That man brought his issues to the atmosphere of worship, and his life did not remain the same. Good things happened to him in the atmosphere of worship. Good things happened to him as he came to Jesus.

Friend, in 2022, stay in the place of worship. Stay in the place of your walk with God. Stay in the place of your relationship with God and deep intimacy with God. Stay in the atmosphere of Jesus. Stay in the company of fellow worshippers. Stay in the midst of those who are seeking God as you. Stay in the atmosphere that births good things; stay in the atmosphere of the God who makes all things to work in your favour.

Jesus could have come into the temple, and if the man with the withered hand was not there, there would not have been healing, and it wouldn’t be because Jesus was not willing to heal him. That man would have missed out on good things happening in his life if he stayed away from the temple. Did you know that you could miss your portion whilst staying away from the temple? Did you know that distance from God could make you lose out on what God already ordained for you this year?

A great year is not by accident; a great year is a product of deliberate actions; and one of those actions you must intentionally take, is to stay close to the God who makes all things to work in your favour. Any voice that is telling you to stay far away from God is only plotting to make your 2022 a repeat of past negativity. Any voice that is counselling you to stay far from the God of goodness is only seeking to make you empty.

Remember, there is an atmosphere that births good things. Stay connected to God. Stay connected to the atmosphere of good things, and all things will work in your favour.

Declaration

As I stay in the atmosphere of Jesus, all things are working in my favour, in Jesus’ name!
