Stop The Losses

6th October 2019

Scripture Reading: John 6: 1-12

Focus

“When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.” (John 6: 12)

Our Focal Scripture reveals that moment when Jesus told His disciples to gather the fragments so that nothing is lost. Jesus gave His disciples the responsibility of ensuring that there was no loss at a time when the multitude had already been fed. He gave them the responsibility of stopping the losses that could follow the abundance they just enjoyed. Jesus seemed to be saying, abundance is no excuse for losses.

Friend, glean some wisdom: abundance is no excuse or validation for losses. The fact that God has given you so much is not a reason to waste what He has given; the fact that opportunities are chasing you all around is no excuse to take anyone and anything for granted; the fact that you have risen from the place of not enough to the place of more than enough does not permit you to allow waste in your life.

If you have become accustomed to the lifestyle of waste and losses, now is the time to end it. Now is the time to stop accepting losses in your business, career, family, ministry, etc; now is the time to stop the cycle of financial waste and financial losses; now is the time to stop wasting your money because you feel you have enough; now is the time to insist on the principle of no losses; now is the time to stop the losses.

Jesus did not want losses, and He made the disciples to take responsibility for that. If losses will end around you, then take responsibility to make it end. Take responsibility to ensure that losses don’t get the better part of you. Take responsibility to close all channels, habits, relationships, etc that attract losses to your life. Play your part to stop the plan of the enemy to cause you to suffer losses and breakdowns.

If there will be no losses, you have a role to play. Gather your fragments; stop the losses.

Declaration

I take responsibility to end the cycle of losses, in Jesus’ name!
