Take Action

14th July 2019

Scripture Reading: Luke 8: 22-25

“Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.” (Luke 8: 22)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of a certain day when Jesus and His disciples were on a journey to ‘the other side’ and encountered a storm. It was called a certain day, but that day, a storm arose and Jesus commanded it to be still. On that certain day, there was a mad man on the other side whom Jesus healed. It was called a certain day, it was ordinarily not a memorable day, but Jesus took memorable actions and made memorable movements.

Friend, what actions are you taking today? What are you doing with your time? What movements are you making at the moment? What lessons are you learning? What wisdom are you gleaning today? What steps are you taking and where would they lead you to? What is your agenda as minutes turn to hours, as hours turn to days, as days turn to weeks, as weeks turn to months, and as months become years?

Jesus took remarkable actions, and that day could as well be described by the actions he took. He took result oriented actions that made the day remarkable. Start taking actions that will yield remarkable results; start taking actions that will lift you higher; start taking actions that will aid the attainment and fulfillment of your dreams and visions; take actions that will make a difference; take actions that will propel you higher.

When the chips are down, you may never be remembered for your dreams or visions, but you will certainly be remembered by the actions you took while here on earth. Go beyond being a talker and start taking actions; go beyond analyzing situations and start taking actions that will yield results; go beyond being a mere spectator and become a key player that others will watch.

Don’t be satisfied to grow older each day without taking commensurate actions to justify your growth. Start taking actions immediately. Take profitable actions.

I will take actions that will add value to my days, in Jesus’ name!
