Territorial Control

22nd October 2021

Scripture Reading: Joshua 5: 13-15, 6: 1-6

“And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.” (Joshua 6: 2)

In our Focal Scripture, God told Joshua that He had given Jericho into his hands, with the king thereof. The king of Jericho was put into the hands of Joshua by God Himself. That means, the throne of Jericho was to belong to Joshua and his men. God was giving territorial control to Joshua. God was giving Joshua the gift of territorial control. The same place that was previously controlled by Jericho’s king was to be under Joshua.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are receiving the gift of territorial control. You will control the territories around you. You will superintend over territories that are far from you. You have the mantle of territorial influence. You have the capacity to stay where you are and determine what happens in high places. You have what it takes to control the kings of this world from your corner. You have kings in your hands.

Joshua was in a conversation with God when the king of Jericho was given into his hands. In the place of his relationship with God, he received the gift of territorial control. If truly you have a walk with God, one of the results that should begin to materialize is the gift of territorial control. It should be illegal for you to walk with the Owner of the entire universe and not be able to control a part of His kingdoms in this world.

Just by having a conversation and an encounter with God, Joshua received a king and his throne into his hands. He discussed with God and ended up with territorial control. If you are not intentionally discussing with God in the place of prayer, you are so wrong. If you are not prioritizing your walk with God, you just might be excluding yourself from the generation that will possess territorial control over the kingdoms of this world.

Stop chasing territories and start chasing after the God who has the capacity to give you territories on a platter of grace.

I receive the mantle of territorial control, in Jesus’ name!
