Scripture Reading: JOSHUA 2: 1-24

“And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate.” (Joshua 2: 7)

In our Focal Scripture, as the men who chased after the spies left Jericho, the gates of Jericho were shut. So Jericho was initially an open city; but when Israel started making moves to possess Jericho, they started to lock the gates. Notice that in Joshua 6 vs. 1, Jericho was closed because of the children of Israel. When it was time for Israel to possess their possession, the same place where gates were previously open, became shut.

Friend, have you ever been at that point where you are about to possess your possessions, and suddenly, doors that were once open become closed? Have you ever been at that point where you want to advance, and processes that were once favourable become needlessly unfavourable? Have you ever wished to hit a target within your reach, and by some event outside of your control, same target is taken away beyond your reach?

Hear me as I hear the Lord: what the Lord is about to do for you, no process of man can keep it away from your reach. No policy of man will stop you from rising to your next level. No conspiracy will deny you of your rising. No limitation created by men will hinder you from becoming all that God has destined you to become. No roadblock set by man will stop your achievements. No satanic rearrangement will hinder your success.

Notice that the doors of Jericho were shut, but eventually, the entire walls of Jericho fell and Israel went in and took the land. Hear me as I hear the Lord: even when the gates are shut, the walls will fall. Even when the smaller options available to you appear beyond your reach, God will cause you to have higher options that are powered by heaven. When the enemy imagines that he has stopped you, God will crumble their arrangements.

Even if the doors are locked against you, the walls of your Jericho will down flat. No power of hell will stop you from possessing your possession.

Even if the gates are shut against me, the walls will fall, and I will possess my possession, in Jesus’ name!
