In our Focal Scripture, the psalmist clearly inferred that the reason why he does not fear any evil whilst walking through the valley of the shadow of death, is because the Lord is with him. Because the Lord was with the psalmist, he feared no evil whilst passing through the valley of the shadow of death. Negativity was present, but there was no fear because the psalmist understood that the Lord’s presence was with him.
Friend, no matter the negativity, always remember that the presence of the Lord is with you. No matter what is going wrong around you, remember that the Lord is with you. No matter the battles and conspiracies you face, remember that the Lord is with you. No matter the new negative realities in your environment, reassure yourself that the Lord is with you. No matter the valley you go through, remind yourself that the Lord is walking all the way with you.
The enemy wants you to remember the negativity on your way and forget that the Lord has been with you even before negativity showed up. The enemy wants you to be more conscious of what is wrong around you than the God who is with you. The devil wants you to be a conveyor of the news of negativity in your nation, rather than be an announcer of the presence of God with you. The enemy wants you to specialize in negativity to the extent of forgetting that the Lord is with you.
There may indeed be negativity, but beyond the valley of the shadow of death is the Lord who is your ever present help in time of trouble. Your troubles may be many, but the God you serve is greater. The battles you face may even overwhelm you, but they can’t overwhelm the God that is with you. The afflictions that you are bedeviled with may see insurmountable in your own eyes, but the God who is with you has them all under control.
Don’t let the valley of the shadow of death make you forget that the Lord is with you. No matter what you face, remember, the Lord is with you.
