THE NAME OF THE LORD

13th AUGUST 2024

Scripture Reading: LUKE 19: 28-40

Focus

“And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.” (Luke 19: 31)

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus told His disciples that if any man asked them why they were loosing the colt, they should say that the Lord had need of him. The disciples were going to use the name of Jesus to help the colt to be released. The colt was not going to be released because it had a right to be released. It was not going to be released because it deserved to. It was only going to be released because of the help of the name of the Lord.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: receive the help of the name of the Lord. The name of the Lord will make a way for you when it seems there is no way. The name of the Lord will cause your opposers and attackers to back off. The name of the Lord will cause your way to be made perfect. The name of the Lord will cause your lines to fall to you in pleasant places. The name of the Lord will cause every contrary power to bow to you.

The people who queried Jesus’ disciples were the rightful owners of the colt. They had a right to refuse that the colt be released. They had a right to say no to those who came to untie the colt, but the moment they heard the name of the Lord, they backed off. Hear me as I hear the Lord: because of the name of the Lord, even those who have legitimate reasons to say no to you will have no option but to back off at the mention of the name of God.

As you move, go in the name of the Lord. Push forward in the name of the Lord. Make your efforts in the name of the Lord. Knock on the doors you need to knock on in the name of the Lord. Fight your battles in the name of the Lord. Confront the gates of hell in the name of the Lord. Tear down every opposition against you in the name of the Lord. Unlock the doors that are locked against you in the name of the Lord. Go in the name of the Lord.

Even when everything else fails, the name of the Lord will never fail. Go in the name of the Lord and every contrary throne will bow to the name of Jesus.

Declaration

I come in the name of the Lord; every contrary throne bows to me, in Jesus’ name!
