When the angel and captain of the Lord’s host showed up before Joshua in our Focal Scripture, he had a drawn sword in his hand. He didn’t have a sheathed sword. He had a sword that was already drawn out, ready to fight the enemies of God’s people. The angel of the Lord was battle ready as Joshua saw him. He was ready to make the opposers of God’s people to bow; he was ready to crush the opposition against the fall of Jericho’s wall.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the angel of the Lord is already standing by, with his drawn sword, battle ready on your behalf. The Lord is about to cut down the same things that came to cut you down. The Lord is standing by with a drawn sword to deal with the opposition that is hindering your progress. The Lord is battle ready against the set-up of the enemy against you. The Lord is battle ready, against the gates of hell.
The angel of the Lord did not come to negotiate with the walls of Jericho. He showed up to ensure that the walls were taken down with ease. Hear me as I hear the Lord: by virtue of the presence of God around you, and by the ministry of angels with drawn swords, every wall that is standing against you goes down now. Every opposition erected to halt your progress, goes down now. By the sword of the Lord, your adversity is consumed.
Go and announce to the gates of hell that have been positioned against you, that the angel of the Lord already has his sword drawn, ready to cut down your opposition. Go and announce to those who are conspiring against you: they will go down by the sword of the Lord. The enemies of your destiny will go down by the sword of the Lord. Every spiritual wickedness set up against you will go down by the sword of the Lord.
The Lord is battle ready on your behalf; every opposition standing against you will go down by the sword of the Lord.
