THE UNKNOWN

6th AUGUST 2024

Scripture Reading: LUKE 19: 28-40

Focus

“Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.” (Luke 19: 30)

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus sent two of His disciples to a village over against them. The name of this village was unknown, but there was a colt therein that Jesus wanted to use and distinguish. There was a colt in an unknown place which Jesus wanted to give a new identity. Jesus instructed His disciples that if anyone asked them why they are loosing the colt, they should say that the Lord had need of it. Their passcode was the Lord.

Friend, you may be counted amongst the unknown, but God is about to make a name for Himself through your life. God is about to make you a spectacle of His glory. God is about to show forth Himself through your life. Men may have relegated you to the most unknown of places; life may have confined you to the most insignificant of places; but as surely as God lives, you are moving from the unknown to the distinguished.

Jesus chose to enter into Jerusalem triumphantly, and it was not a problem that the colt was largely and hugely from an unknown place. Hear me again: how unknown you are, is not a challenge for God. God is set to advertise you all by Himself, and it won’t matter if your name, location, pedigree, reputation, character, capacity, etc. remains unknown. God is a specialist in spinning surprises by putting the unknown in the middle of it.

Those that call you unknown are about to know you because of the Lord. Those who have written you off are about to change their minds because of the Lord. People are about to elevate and favour you because of the Lord. The best is coming your way because of the Lord. Your story is changing because of the Lord. Chains are about to break because of the Lord. You will be blessed and remembered because of the Lord.

You may yet be unknown, but the Lord has arisen to work in your favour. You may be unknown, but the Lord will turn the story of your life around.

Declaration

I move from unknown to distinguished, in Jesus’ name!
