As we draw the curtain on our meditations on Joshua and the conquest of Jericho, one matter remains outstanding: the walls of Jericho fell, and the people went into the city and took the city. The wall was a challenge, and when it fell, they no longer needed anyone to advise them on how to take the city; they simply stepped in and took the city. The walls fell and they possessed their possession. The wall fell, and it settled other matters.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: as your walls of Jericho fall, you will possess your possession. As the walls fall, you will take over; as the walls fall, you will arise and take your place at the top; as the walls fall, you will step in and take charge of the places that were once beyond your reach; as the walls fall, some issues that were previously impossible shall become possible; as the walls fall, some battles will be taken care of.
The walls of Jericho fell, and the children of Israel took the city. They took possession of a new territory when the walls fell. As the walls standing against your destiny fall, you will possess new territories, you will gain new grounds, you will arise and take over, you will overtake those who were previously holding you to ransom, you will achieve new things you couldn’t previously achieve, and you will take your place.
You belong to the generation for whom one stone kills several birds. You belong to the generation that gains territories when walls fall. You belong to the generation that gets multiple results when God grants one answer. You belong to the generation whose possession does not remain in the hands of those who build walls and lock gates. You belong to the generation that insists that every wall of Jericho must fall down flat.
Ask the Lord to cause your walls of Jericho to fall that you may possess your possession. Ask the Lord to give you one answer that will yield multiple results.
