Our Focal Scripture speaks of Bigthana and Teresh, keepers of the king’s door; they plotted against the king and were exposed by Mordecai. Mordecai would eventually be lifted into royalty by the king, for exposing the wickedness of the king’s doorkeepers. So the wrongdoing of Bigthana and Teresh became the foundation of Mordecai’s lifting. The mistake of Bigthana and Teresh made Mordecai relevant.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the mistakes of others will make you relevant. As others do things the wrong way, they will make room for you to be chosen because you are doing things right. As others fail in their responsibilities, it will be your opportunity to be distinguished. As others fail in their ministry, it will cause God to project you to the nations; as others fail in the area where you are skilled, God will position you higher.
Mordecai was not reputed to have done anything special for the king besides exposing the king’s men; if there were no enemies to expose, maybe he would have remained irrelevant to the king. Hear me as I hear the Lord: as men make mistakes in their various corners, God will cause it to be your opportunity for greatness. God will use the failure of others to make you renown; God will use the misbehavior of others to distinguish you.
On the flipside, remember that your misbehavior is another man’s platform for relevance; your procrastination is another man’s opportunity to shine ahead of you; your laziness, arrogance, pride, lack of foresight, lack of dedication and commitment, prayerlessness, etc is another man’s chance to get ahead of you in destiny; your failure is another man’s chance to succeed; your wrong is a chance for another to be right.
Don’t be counted among those who failed and made room for others to succeed; be counted among those who took the occasion of other people’s failure to succeed.
