The sons of the prophets who lived with Elisha proposed a movement to Jordan where they would cut down wood and make a new place of abode. They were yet to go to Jordan, but they already had a plan, or expectation, of what would happen in Jordan. They were so sure that each of them could find a beam; they were so sure that Jordan would be favourable; they were so sure that when they get to Jordan, they would have a place.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: as you get to your ‘Jordan’, there will be a place for you. There’s a place for you in the new opportunities that are coming up this year; there’s a place for you in high places; there’s a place for you in the doors that will be opened this year; there is a place for you in the elevations that will be unveiled this year; there is a place for you in the future that God will make happen; there is a place for you at the top.
Jordan was God’s creation; so the sons of the prophets seemed to be saying that amongst God’s provision, they had a place and a space. Hear me as I hear the Lord: there is space for you in that which God has provided. You have a share in whatever divine provision that heaven will release each day; you have a space in the mighty wonders that God will reveal each day; you have a portion in the resources of heaven that earth will receive.
The space that the sons of the prophets had in Jordan was waiting before they got there, and no man took it away from them. The space that God has made for you will be waiting for you ahead of time, and no man shall take it away from you. No man shall possess your portion; no man shall contend with your space; you will not be rejected from your space; you will not be denied when it is time to occupy your God-given space.
Your name will be counted among those who succeeded. You have a place in the corridors of success.
