Watchers Are Watching

They Will See It

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 6: 24-25, 7: 1-20

Focus

“Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.” (2 Kings 7: 2)

Our Focal Scripture captures the moment when Elisha had just proclaimed the word of the Lord, and the lord on whose hand the king leaned questioned God’s ability to fulfill His word. That lord heard of what God was about to do for His people, and his response was negative. He heard of what God would do, and he spoke like one who didn’t believe that God would do it. He doubted the fulfillment of what God said He would do.

Notice that upon hearing the verbal opposition of that lord, Elisha said, you will see it with your eyes. Elisha sentenced that lord to a life of seeing the fulfillment of the word of the Lord with his own eyes. By that word of the Lord, that lord was going to witness the fulfillment of what he spoke against. The lord on whose hands the king leaned wanted to wish away the word of the Lord, but Elisha decreed that he would see it with his own eyes.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every man who is opposing God’s will for your life will see it with his/her own eyes. Those who have vowed that your prophecy will never find fulfillment will witness the fulfillment with their own eyes. Those that feel that you are too small to receive what the Lord has orchestrated for you will see you step in with their own eyes. Your results will shock those who wrote you off.

That lord on whose hand the king leaned protested against the word of the Lord, and he was punished with the misfortune of having to witness what he thought and said was impossible. If they have mocked you, opposed you, disbelieved you, written your efforts off, said that you won’t succeed, etc, just keep calm; God will cause the same haters and mockers to see your rising.

Don’t lose sleep on account of men who don’t believe in you; don’t bother about naysayers who believe that you will not make it. As surely as the Lord lives, they will see your rising with their own eyes.

Declaration

My opposers will see my rising with their own eyes, in Jesus’ name!
