When the woman with the issue of blood showed up amidst the multitude that followed Jesus, she simply touched the hem of His garment and received her healing. The word ‘touched’ as used in that scripture comes from the Greek word ‘haptomai’, which means ‘to fasten’. This woman had been followed by a negative situation; but she met Jesus and desired a higher life, and she fastened herself around Him, and got healed.
Others may have been content to just follow Jesus, but that woman opted to tie herself to Jesus. Others may have elected to be mere observers, but she wanted more; she wanted a life tied to the Master, with no option of detachment. She had a choice to just follow, or be tied, and she chose to be tied to Jesus. She tied her life to Jesus; she committed to a life that will never deviate from the Master.
Friend, there can be no better life than that which is tied to Jesus. If you are tied to Jesus, what negativity will sink you? If your destiny is tied to Jesus, what is that power of hell that can make satanic incursions into your life? If you are tied to Jesus, how will your life be stagnated? If your life is tied to Jesus, how will your results remain the same from year to year? If you are tied to Jesus, how will negativity prevail over you?
People around you may be content to just come by and remain passers by around Jesus, but dare to be tied to Jesus full time. Immerse your Spirit being in Him; connect to Him through prayers and the word; fasten your destiny to Him as one who has no plans of walking away; connect to Jesus more and more and let Him pour more and more of Himself into you.
Remember, there is no future outside of Jesus. There is no life outside of Jesus. Stay tied to Jesus, and your destiny will remain ever advancing.
