Tune Up The Fire

8th September 2019

Scripture Reading: Acts 27: 41-44, 28: 1-6

Focus

“And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.” (Acts 28: 3)

It is instructive to observe that when Paul gathered the sticks wherein the viper was hidden, he took the sticks closer to the fire. The fire apparently made the viper so uncomfortable that it had no choice but to come forth and fasten itself on Paul’s hand. Paul carried the sticks and the viper to the fire, and what was hidden was revealed. He may not have known about the viper, but as he got closer to the fire, the viper revealed itself.

Friend, you may not know where the vipers are around you, but if only you can go closer to the fire, the fire will reveal the vipers. The fire of God within you will cause the vipers in your destiny to be exposed; the fire of God in your inner man will cause the enemies of your destiny to be uncomfortable; the fire of God you ignite and sustain through prayers in the Spirit will cause the vipers to be exposed and destroyed.

Today, I pass a decree: every viper in your destiny that has come to destroy you, let the fire of God arise and destroy it. Let the fire of God arise against every evil plot that has been hatched against you; let the fire of God arise against every hidden agenda that is poised to reduce your destiny; let the fire of God arise against every secret conversation that is causing you harm in places where your eyes cannot see; let the fire expose the vipers.

Always remember that your lack of fire in your inner man simply makes life easier for the vipers in your destiny. If you are cold in the Spirit, it would be easier for the attackers of your destiny to make a mess of you. There are attackers that will have to think twice before coming close if you are on fire. Tune up the fire of God in you through prayers; pray in the Holy Ghost and let the fire on God’s altar find expression in you.

Remember, the viper can only remain active if there be no fire to deal with it. Tune up your fire and the vipers will depart.

Declaration

Every viper in my life, let the fire of God burn you to ashes, in Jesus’ name!
