In Exodus 40 vs. 9, God told Moses to anoint the tabernacle and everything in it, thus consecrating the tabernacle and its furnishings. Afterwards, Moses mandated all Israel never to make a replica of the tabernacle and its furnishings. The oil came upon the tabernacle and its furnishings, and they became permanently relevant and unique. That same oil came on David, and made him stand out.
