Scripture Reading: 1 KINGS 17: 1-16

Focus

“And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.” (1 Kings 17: 4)

In Deuteronomy 14 vs. 14-19, God had described the raven as one of those birds that should not be eaten. The raven was proclaimed by God Himself to be unclean. Notice that in our Focal Scripture, the same God told Elijah that He had commanded a raven to feed him in Brook Cherith. The same bird that God had outlawed and forbidden was commanded to feed Elijah. The same bird that was unclean was commanded to feed a clean man.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: God is about to use ‘ravens’ to minister to you. God will make the heathen to be messengers for your advancement and rising. God is about to cause the most unlikely of men to become your helpers. God is about to use the same people you never imagined could be helpful and useful to you, to cause new things to come your way. God is about to bless you through the very things He outlawed.

Ordinarily, a raven should have no dealings with Prophet Elijah. A raven should not even have been identified as bringing food to God’s servant, but so it was in the life of Elijah. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the same people and systems that no one would associate you with, will turn around and become helpful to your destiny. The same people and systems that seem abominable will become messengers of your increase.

When God is involved, even the ravens become messengers for the good. When God is involved, even the abominable become tools for advancement. When God is involved, the same things that should never even be mentioned around you will become the tools for your rising and elevation. When God is involved, the wildest of ravens will become the friendliest of allies. When God is involved, expect the help of ravens.

Welcome to that season where even the heathen will be mandated to work in your favour. Welcome to that season where heaven will position even the abominable to work in your favour.
