According to our Focal Scripture, whenever Israel put seed in the ground, the Midianites came up against them. Battles raged against Israel simply because they put seed to the ground. It seemed that the mere planting of seed in the ground attracted new battles to them. The mere prospect of future harvest caused new battles to arise against them. What was still small, but was to later manifest in higher dimensions, caused them battles.
Friend, the enemy may not have chosen to wage war against you, if there was nothing ahead of you that scares him. The enemy may not have scaled up his battles against you, if not that he has seen the very potentials that would become mega results in the future. The enemy may not be fighting you afterall, if not that your ‘seed’ seems to have the potential to yield a heavy harvest. The battles against you are indicative of good seed.
The planting of seed became a tip off to the enemies of Israel. The planting of what would yield a heavy harvest in future became the starting point of attacks from the enemies of Israel. At some point, you might need to celebrate yourself for being worthy of the attacks of the enemy. He would probably not fight you if there was nothing ahead. He would probably not fight you if the future was not loaded with greatness.
In this season, take your seed more seriously. Take your ideas more seriously. Take your little efforts more seriously. Take your baby steps more seriously. Take the early stages of your enterprise more seriously. Take the efforts that should yield a harvest with more seriousness. Any man who must put seed in the ground must understand that there are adversaries. Any man who has a bright future must guard his seed.
Guard your seed with prayers and prophetic utterances. You are not of that breed that Satan should hinder. You are of the generation that prevails over the schemes of darkness.
