Scripture Reading: Psalm 92: 1-12

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” (Psalm 92: 12)

The branches of the cedar tree serve as excellent locations for bird and squirrel nests. Birds and squirrels move in high altitudes. The birds fly, while the squirrels glide between trees. They both move in high places; yet after all their movements, they find solace in the cedar tree. They move from height to height, they are high flyers, yet they need the cedar tree after the day’s business. They cedar tree is sought after by high flyers.

Friend, in this season and beyond, you will be sought after by the high flyers of this world. Those who dwell in the corridors of power will come to you. People who matter will always come to you. There will be a breaking-forth on all sides for you, and you will be important to everyone who is important. Just like the cedar tree is sought after by high flyers, you will be in high demand among those who matter in your generation.

Get ready to be a source of wisdom to people who are in charge. Get set to be an adviser to people ahead of you. Get set to offer useful inputs that will make people ahead of you to fulfill their mission. Get set to be the one who will always have a say before a matter is concluded. It is a promise that will see you walk on grounds where others fear to tread. You may not be the highest flyer in town, but high flyers will need you.

Don’t lose sleep when you see other people flying higher than you; they will come back looking for you. Don’t get scared when people ahead of you ask for your help repeatedly; God says it is evidence that your gates of relevance are open. Don’t look down on yourself when it seems you have become the toast of many; it is all part of God’s package for your crown.

You will be relevant to your generation. You will be highly sought after. Your relevance is needed in high places.

The high flyers in my generation will seek after me, in Jesus’ name!
