In our Focal Scripture, Samuel took a horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of his brethren. There were people ahead of David in his immediate family, but he was anointed in their midst. He was not quite the favoured one amongst them; he had the ill luck of being in the bush whilst others enjoyed the comfort of the home; but in the end, despite being disadvantaged, he was chosen and anointed in the midst of his brethren.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: there may be people who currently seem more favoured than you, there may be people who seem to be preferred ahead of you, there may be people who seem like they are rightly positioned ahead of you, there may be people who seem like they are contending for the same thrones and crowns you seek, there may be people who have even arrived ahead of you, but you will still be chosen.
Today, I pray for you: your name will be the first in the list of favour. You will be considered first for thrones and crowns. You will be considered ahead of those who are currently being favoured above you. You will be considered first ahead of those who were positioned ahead of you. You will be considered ahead of those who are currently enjoying advantages ahead of you. You will be considered for elevation.
Don’t lose sleep because it seems that you are not favoured by mere men. You may not have the favour of men, but the favour of God will compel men, against their wishes, to give you the best. You may not have what others have, but when it is time for you to rise to your high places, nothing and no one will stop it. Others may have been given privileges that you do not yet have, but in the fullness of time, nothing will stop your rising.
Focus on God and forget about those who are positioned ahead of you. If God be for you, nothing will stop your rising.
