When Jesus rose from the dead, He first appeared to Mary Magdalene. Mary Magdalene was not the only woman in that journey to the sepulcher. There was Mary the mother of James, and there was Salome; but in the end, the first person who saw the risen Jesus was Mary Magdalene. Others heard about the resurrection of Jesus with her, others saw the open grave with her, but she was the first to see the risen Jesus.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: others may have begun the journey with you, but your result shall be ahead of theirs. You will see the ‘risen Jesus’ before others; you will see results before others who started the same journey with you; you will witness international open doors before those who set out to seek such doors with you; you will get your answers before others; you will make progress before others; you will be ahead.
There were several others that could have been the first to see the risen Jesus, but by divine sovereignty, Mary Magdalene was chosen to be the first to see the risen Jesus. She was considered first. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will be considered first. In the race for relevance, you will be considered first; in the journey to those results you desperately desire, you will be considered first. God will choose you ahead of others.
Mary was simply doing her thing when grace located her and made her the first to see Jesus. As surely as the Lord lives, grace shall locate you, mercy shall speak on your behalf, favour shall be poured out to you, you will be on your own and you will be chosen for outstanding favours, the doors of relevance shall be miraculously opened to you, and you will be chosen for high places.
Get set to be distinguished like Mary Magdalene was distinguished. Get set to be chosen by grace. Get set to be considered first.
