You Will Celebrate

23rd August 2019

Scripture Reading: Joshua 6: 1-20

Focus

“And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.” (Joshua 6: 4)

The seven priests that were to move in the company of men that compassed Jericho for seven days had trumpets of rams’ horns. In bible times, trumpets were symbolic of celebration. When trumpets of rams’ horns were blown, it meant that there was a cause to celebrate. The walls were yet to fall, but God commanded the men to bear the symbol of celebration in their hands. God was simply saying that there was celebration ahead.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: there is celebration ahead of you; something big is coming your way soon; something that will make you shout for joy is about to happen; good news that will cause men to celebrate with you is about to be revealed; you are about to become the recipient of good news that will make you smile and sing for joy; you are about to receive good news that will reposition you in the place of celebration.

Your season to be celebrated and congratulated is here. Your time to be in the news for good reasons is here. Your time for God’s favour is here. Your time to exchange the tears of pain with dances of joy and shouts of gladness is here. No longer shall tears be shed in your land; no longer shall mourning be your portion; no longer shall you be called the one that is abandoned; no longer shall your dwelling be bereft of celebrations.

Remember, the walls of Jericho were yet to fall when God commanded the priests to move with rams’ horns. So they were to walk like men who were about to announce celebrations. They were to walk in the expectation of celebrations and congratulations. Walk in the consciousness that God has a celebration cooking for you; walk with the mindset of one who knows that there will soon be a reason to celebrate and be congratulated.

Get set for a mega celebration that will resound and resonate all around you; get set to be celebrated and congratulated.
