YOU WILL INCREASE

13th June 2024

Scripture Reading: 1 SAMUEL 30: 1-20

Focus

“And David took all the flocks and the herds, which they drave before those other cattle, and said, This is David's spoil.” (1 Samuel 30: 20)

At the end of the encounter between David and the Amalekites that came against him, David took all the flocks and herds which were taken from the Amalekites. The Amalekites came against David and his men, but in the end, it became David’s opportunity to gain more cattle than he had before. So their attack became a platform for David’s enlargement; their wickedness became a harbinger for David’s increase.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every attack against your destiny will be a platform for your enlargement. As people conspire against you, God will use the occasion of their attacks against you to give you new territories and opportunities. God will use the battles against you to take you higher. God will give you a huge advantage ahead of those who have chosen to fight you; God will increase you through the opposition you face.

Those men came against David to take what belonged to David, but in the end, they lost what they had to David. They came to steal from David, but in the end, what they had was possessed by David. Hear me as I hear the Lord: those that come to take what is yours shall lose what is theirs to you; as they come for your portion, God will give you their portion; as they come to take your possessions, you will possess their possessions.

The Amalekites raided different cities and took spoils from them; then David showed up to take the spoils. They laboured for the spoils but David enjoyed the spoils. Hear me as I hear the Lord: others will labour but you will enjoy the harvest. Others will fight to gather opportunities and you will show up to take the opportunities. Others will work but you will enjoy.

Don’t be scared when the battles rage from all sides. As surely as the Lord lives, they shall all be for your enlargement.
