Your Future Is Preserved

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 6: 24-33, 7: 1-20

Focus

“So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.” (2 Kings 6: 29)

In our Focal Scripture, we find a woman informing the king of Israel of how she boiled her son and ate same with her ally. Because of the famine in Israel, it became an option for women to eat their children. Children are the future generation. So that woman ate her ‘future’ with her friend. She consumed her ‘tomorrow’ in her ‘today’. She faced a challenge that forced her to put her future in jeopardy. She consumed her future ahead of time.

Friend, I pray for you: in 2022, you will not consume your future. You will not squander in your today, what was meant for your tomorrow. You will not face challenges that will force you to mortgage your future. You will not come to a point where all you must do will be to put the future in jeopardy. You will not consume what is meant for your tomorrow. You will not waste your future in the present. 2022 will not swallow your future.

Hear me as I hear the Lord: the things that make a mess of other people’s future will not make a mess of your own future. The things that swallow the tomorrow of others will not swallow your tomorrow. The things that cause men to arrive at their future and have nothing to show for it, will not be your portion. Every battle that wants to consume what is meant for tomorrow, I command it to scatter by the fire of the Lord.

There was probably no hope for that woman to eat proper food, and she ended up boiling and eating her own son. Because of what was missing, her future became a target for consumption. I pray for you: whatever that is missing that wants to make your future a mere consumable, let the power of God make it available to you. Whatever resources you lack that wants to make a mess of your tomorrow, let heaven supply it to you.

No more shall your future be eaten in your today. No longer shall your tomorrow be consumed.

Declaration
