Your ‘Samuel’ Is Coming

27th March 2019

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 1: 1-28

“But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.” (1 Samuel 1: 5)

Our Focal Scripture reveals that God Himself shut up the womb of Hannah. So what looked like barrenness in the life of Hannah was actually God at work. God simply was not ready to have Hannah conceive and have children. God shut a door that Hannah would have wanted open; God created an impossibility that Hannah would have wanted to be possible. A door that was open to Peninnah was divinely shut to Hannah.

Notice that when Hannah’s womb was eventually opened, she brought forth Samuel who rose to become the judge over Israel. When her womb was opened, she bore a son that had the privilege of anointing the first and second kings of Israel. She had a result that was prominent and impactful. Her result made a difference. So when Hannah’s womb was shut, a Samuel was on the way. Because of a huge result ahead, a door was closed.

Friend, when God shuts some doors by Himself, it is because a ‘Samuel’ is on the way. When God will not have you enter some circles, or hit some targets, or win some battles, etc, something big that will make waves and make news is on the way. When God shuts your doors, He does not open it until He is ready to make a big thing happen. When God shuts your ‘womb’, expect a ‘Samuel’ that will be relevant to the agenda of heaven.

Peninnah had several sons and daughters, but the bible never mentioned their names. She had results but her results did not matter in divine agenda. It’s not enough to have results; ask yourself how relevant your results are in the scheme of divinity. Find out how much your ‘open door’ matters in heaven’s agenda; find out how much your achievements count in the journey of life.

Some things may not have worked, but when your miracle finally comes, it will be a show off for God. Your ‘Samuel’ is coming; your portion will locate you.

My ‘Samuel’ is coming and will make news, in Jesus’ name!
