Our Focal Scripture speaks of that son of the prophet who died, paving way for the creditors to come and take his sons to be bondmen. The creditor waited for that man to die before coming to take his sons as bondmen. The creditor waited for death to happen before coming to set up bondage in that man’s family. That man died, and bondage got an opportunity to emerge. Death became the harbinger of the bondage in that family.
Friend, when there is death, you are simply setting up bondage for the next generation. When you die spiritually, children go into bondage physically. When your prayer life dies, captivity is birthed. When spiritual sensitivity dies, captivity gets a lifeline. When fellowship with God dies, captivity arises. When your intimacy with God dies, captivity is simply standing by, waiting to pounce on whatever is left of your destiny.
Today, proclaim that you will not die. Refuse to let your spirit man die; don’t allow your prayer life to die; don’t allow your consecration and dedication to God to die; don’t allow the fire in your inner man to die; don’t allow your spirituality to die; don’t allow your depth in God to die; don’t allow your efficiency to die; don’t allow your competence and excellence to die; don’t allow that which is important in your life to die.
There is a generation that needs you to remain alive in order to escape bondage. There is a generation that needs you to remain fervent in prayers so that the enemy will not devour them. There is a generation depending on your walk with God so that the hands of Satan and negativity can be turned backwards. There is a generation that may never be able to rise and fulfill their potentials until you walk in abundant life.
Remember, the fervency of your life keeps captivity away. Don’t allow God’s life in you to die while you are physically alive. Don’t accept to die.
