Scripture Reading: Mark 10: 46-52

Focus

“And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.” (Mark 10: 46)

Blind Bartimaeus was described as the son of Timaeus, before mention was made of how he sat by the highway side begging. He faced a challenge that forced him to become a beggar. He faced a challenge that positioned him in a place where he depended on people to survive. He faced a challenge that left him at the mercy of people. He faced a challenge that put him in a vulnerable position. His challenge invited a bad situation.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every challenge in your life that has come to invite more troubles for you, I command it to end now. Every challenge that wants to swallow your finances and make you dependent on others, I command it to end now. Every health challenge that wants to put you at the mercy of doctors, I command the fire of God to melt it now. Every challenge that wants to make you pay daily for negativity, I command it to end by the fire of God.

Bartimaeus did not set out to be a beggar; but because he could not see, and because blindness would have made it difficult for him to earn a living, he became a beggar. One situation forced him into more situations he would not have wanted to be in. Hear me as I hear the Lord: any challenge that wants to create more situations that you do not want to see in your life, I command it to perish by the fire of the Lord.

Jesus did not redeem you so that you can be a victim of situations that are not good. Jesus did not redeem you so that your life can be a choice destination for negative situations that will put you into more negative situations. As surely as the Lord lives, I command every cycle of negative situations to change to a cycle of positive results. I command every situation that attracts more negative situations to end now.

No longer shall you be counted amongst men whose negativity grows in leaps and bounds. No longer shall your challenges invite more challenges for you.

Declaration

I refuse every challenge that wants to invite more challenges to me, in Jesus’ name!
